Job Summary:
The Regional Operations Manager will oversee the operational activities within an assigned region, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of agribusiness services, supply chain management, and project execution. This role will involve managing field teams, liaising with local partners, and ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage regional operations, including farm production, supply chain activities, and project implementation.
- Oversee the performance of field teams and ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage partnerships with local governments, farmer cooperatives, and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and ensure they align with Farmer Globale’s strategic goals.
- Prepare and present operational reports to the senior management team.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Business Administration, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the agricultural sector.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of agribusiness value chains and rural development.
Preferred Skills
- Project Management Certification (PMP/Prince2): Demonstrates an ability to manage large-scale projects and resources effectively.
- Experience with Agricultural Value Chains: Familiarity with the challenges and intricacies of agribusiness supply chains.
- Financial Acumen: Ability to manage budgets and financial forecasting for regional operations.
- Data Analytics Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) for performance tracking and operational reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working with government agencies, donors, and private sector partners.
- Experience in traceability, product certification and climate-smart initiatives is a plus
