Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager will drive the growth and expansion of Farmer Globale by identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and enhancing market presence. The role will focus on developing and executing strategies to expand Farmer Globale’s services and strengthen its partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in agribusiness value chains, sustainability solutions, and MSME management.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders, including private sector partners, government agencies, and international organizations.
  • Lead market research and analysis to identify new revenue streams and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies for expanding Farmer Globale’s service offerings and geographic reach.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and pitches to potential clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development efforts with Farmer Globale’s strategic goals.
  • Manage relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and exploring opportunities for additional services.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform business strategies.
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts and agreements with partners and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agribusiness, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably within the agribusiness or development sector.
  • Proven ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of the agribusiness landscape and value chains in Ghana and West Africa.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in donor-funded projects and public-private partnerships.
  • Exceptional negotiation, networking, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
