TechnoServe Ghana’s HAPPY Program Team Visits Farmer Globale Projects in the Volta Region

Farmer Globale was delighted to host a technical visit from the TechnoServe Ghana HAPPY Program team to our operational sites in the Volta Region. The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation in youth-focused agribusiness initiatives.

The primary objective of the visit was to familiarize the TechnoServe team with Farmer Globale’s agritech innovations and to gain deeper insight into our implementation of the Youth Elevate Project, a flagship initiative by Farmer Globale.

During the field engagements, the delegation interacted with several young agripreneurs benefiting from the project — individuals who are applying new technologies and sustainable practices in crop, livestock, and fisheries production. The team also observed how digital tools and data-driven approaches are being used to enhance farm management, improve productivity, and strengthen market linkages.

Speaking during the visit, Mr. Fred Kukubor, Managing Partner of Farmer Globale, emphasized the organization’s commitment to using innovation as a catalyst for inclusive agricultural transformation.

“Our goal is to make technology and knowledge accessible to young farmers, enabling them to see agriculture as a viable business and a driver of opportunity,” he noted.

The TechnoServe team commended Farmer Globale for its practical, impact-driven model that combines technical training, agritech adoption, and youth empowerment. They also highlighted the potential for deeper collaboration between the HAPPY Program and Farmer Globale to scale proven innovations and support more young agripreneurs across Ghana.

The visit reaffirmed a shared vision between both organizations — to build resilient, market-oriented agricultural systems that create dignified jobs and sustainable livelihoods for youth.

At Farmer Globale, we remain committed to driving innovation, strengthening partnerships, and empowering the next generation of agripreneurs to transform Ghana’s agricultural future.

Farmer Globale: An Innovation Hub Driving Agricultural Technical Support and Sustainable Food Systems

Accra, Ghana – In a bid to transform Ghana’s agricultural sector into a driver of inclusive economic growth, Farmer Globale is emerging as a leading innovation hub providing technical support and capacity development for smallholder farmers, cooperatives, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

With a strong focus on innovation and collaboration, Farmer Globale is dedicated to building robust and equitable food trade systems that connect producers to markets, guarantee fair prices, and create sustainable livelihoods. The organization’s work is grounded in the belief that when farmers are equipped with the right knowledge, technology, and access, agriculture becomes a pathway to prosperity.

“Our approach combines technical expertise with practical, market-oriented solutions. We’re helping farmers move from subsistence to sustainability, and from potential to profitability,”
said Mr. Fred Kukubor, Managing Partner of Farmer Globale.

Transforming Agriculture Through Technical Support

Farmer Globale’s impact is evident across Ghana through key partnership projects designed to build the technical and entrepreneurial capacity of farmers and agribusinesses.

Under the Youth Elevate Project, implemented in partnership with the Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), more than 500 young agripreneurs in the Volta Region have received practical training in crop production, livestock management, and fisheries. Participants have also benefited from business development coaching and access to inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, and protective gear — enabling them to improve productivity and scale their agribusinesses.

Beyond youth-focused interventions, Farmer Globale has played a pivotal role in the CocoaElevate and BizBox initiatives, supporting farmer cooperatives and young entrepreneurs to adopt modern agronomic practices, strengthen their governance systems, and improve record-keeping. These efforts have enhanced productivity, improved access to finance, and strengthened value chain linkages.

Building Fair and Resilient Food Systems

Farmer Globale’s work extends beyond technical training to the creation of inclusive food systems that ensure fairness and stability in agricultural trade. By linking smallholders directly to markets, the organization is reducing inefficiencies, increasing transparency, and ensuring farmers receive equitable returns for their produce.

Strategic partnerships with private sector players, development organizations, and financial institutions have also been central to Farmer Globale’s success — fostering innovation in input distribution, digital agriculture, and climate-smart production.

Commitment to Inclusive Growth

As Ghana continues to push for agricultural modernization and youth inclusion, Farmer Globale remains committed to empowering the next generation of agripreneurs. Through innovation, partnerships, and practical technical support, the organization is driving a new era of sustainable and inclusive agricultural growth.

“We envision a future where farming is not seen as a last resort but as a smart, profitable business venture,”
Mr. Kukubor emphasized.

With its expanding footprint and proven expertise, Farmer Globale continues to play a catalytic role in transforming agriculture — strengthening communities, driving productivity, and ensuring food security for Ghana and beyond.
